Troy Man Arrested In Domestic Violence Incident With Handgun
Allegations of domestic violence have led to a Troy man landing behind bars. The Watervliet Police were called for a domestic violence incident in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue on Tuesday morning. When police arrived at the location, the suspect had fled the scene, and the victim alleges that he was physically violent with her.
According to the Troy Record, an unidentified woman called the police to her residence with allegations that her ex-boyfriend, 27-year old Treylen Lloyd, had been physically violent with her. The victim alleges that Mr. Lloyd choked her during the altercation, held her against her will, then fled the scene when she called the police.
Officer swiftly located Mr. Lloyd and arrested him. During his arrest officers recovered a Colt 25 semi-automatic handgun and drugs. Because of a previous felony conviction, Mr. Lloyd was prohibited from possessing any firearms.
Mr. Lloyd was arrested and charged with second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (Felony); third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (Felony); Aggravated Family Offense (Felony); first-degree Criminal Contempt (Felony); Criminal Possession of a Firearm (Felony); Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (Misdemeanor) and second-degree Unlawful Imprisonment (Misdemeanor).
During this incident, it was determined that Mr. Lloyd violated an Order of Protection that was issued against him. He was already out on a $75,000 bond from the Watervliet City Court on charges of domestic violence. Even with all of these charges, it is still not clear whether there are more charges pending.
