A new documentary about The Notorious B.I.G. is in the works.

Submarine Entertainment and ByStorm Film announced their plans for the film on Monday (Feb. 13) at the Berlin Film Festival, according to Variety. The documentary, tentatively titled Notorious B.I.G.: One More Chance, will be directed by Emmett and Brendan Malloy.

"The challenge of making a film about one of the most influential artists of my generation is what I live for as a filmmaker," Emmett Malloy said.

The film is a collaboration with the estate of The Notorious B.I.G. Biggie's mother, Voletta Wallace, will serve as an executive producer.

“It brings so much joy to my heart that my son Christopher’s music has made such an impact on the music community and his stories have positively inspired so many young men and women over the years, and still influencing the youth all over the world today," Wallace said.

Submarine Entertainment has become a hub for music documentaries in recent years. The company has produced notable films like Nas: Time Is Illmatic, Muscle Shoals, Miss Sharon Jones! and The Wrecking Crew.

No release plans for The Notorious B.I.G. documentary have been announced at this time. Biggie will be part of another new release though as his widow Faith Evans is set to drop a joint album with her husband titled The King & I. Evans recently released a track called "When We Party," which will appear on the project.

Longtime friends The Lox spoke to XXL about the memories they shared with Biggie prior to his death. “Big put us on to great bud. But he used to always fuck with our bud though too, like ‘Yo, where that chocolate and that buddha from Uptown?’” Styles says. “Big also put us onto Courvoisier, we used to drink Hennessy, we used to be the Hennessy Gambinos. I was chilling one day with him in the lab and I brought a cognac… he was like, ‘Nah, drink this, this is smoother.’”
