The T.S.A. Is Looking To Fill Job Vacancies In Albany
If you are unemployed or just looking for a better job, you may be interested to know that the Albany Job Fair will be held later this month.
According to News10, the Albany Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, April 21, at the Holiday Inn Express and Conference Center in Latham. The event will last for a full day from 9 a.m. until 4p.m.
One of the best opportunities to be presented at the job fair will no doubt be the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The TSA is reportedly looking to fill more than 6,000 security officer positions nationwide.
The TSA is looking to hire people to fill positions at the Albany International Airport, and those positions will be filled within the next few months. Although the travel industry has been adversely affected during the COVID-19 crisis, the TSA is preparing for an increase in travelers during the upcoming summer months. The TSA is already seeing a 171% increase in travelers compared to travel during the pandemic last year around this time.
The positions here at the Albany International Airport start at $16.48 per hour, but the hourly rate may vary for different airport locations throughout the country. Pay is not the only incentive for working with the TSA. They offer many benefits for working there including healthcare, sick leave, annual leave, and paid training.
The TSA is also offering part time positions with an opportunity to see a pay increase after a six-month period of employment.
If this sounds appealing to you, check out the TSA online at tsa.gov to see if a job at the airport is right for you.
