After a long hiatus from music, TLC singer Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins returns with a charitable song called 'Champion.' It's the first real glimpse into the kind of songs she wants to bring to her audience.

The mid-tempo track has an uplifting message of empowerment and encourages everyone to pursue their dreams. "Any war you can win if you stay strong / Baby, you’re a champion," T-Boz sings on the chorus.

"It is dedicated to anyone that has been through any trials and tribulations and to those champions that live with blood disorders like me," said T-Boz about the song.

The single is currently available on iTunes with proceeds from the sale of the song benefiting sickle cell and leukemia foundations. Recently, T-Boz has endured several health scares in her life. Most recently, she recovered from having brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

The 30-year-old songbird's journey from surgery to pursuing a music career has been documented on her new reality series, 'Totally T-Boz,' on the TLC channel. On the show's season finale, T-Boz had to wait on the results from her annual MRI. She was worried that her body wouldn't be able to handle another round of surgery if a second tumor was found.

Thankfully, doctors found no mass and T-Boz had another clean MRI. "I’m glad I don’t have a tumor, 'cause ain’t nobody got time for that!" said a relieved T-Boz.

With her future looking bright, we hope T-Boz can make a successful comeback in the R&B game.
