East Greenbush CO/Volunteer Firefighter Chris Racine October’s Hometown Hero
County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.
All throughout 2016, we will be recognizing one “hero” per month based on their inspirational feats, work helping their neighbors, and everyday passion.
This month we honor Chris Racine, a Corrections Officer from East Greenbush and Volunteer Firefighter for the Clinton Heights Fire Department. Chris' nominator, Jennifer, says Racine has been a CO for 20 years, as well as a teacher at the Academy where he trains new recruits. If you thought that was impressive, Chris has also been a volunteer firefighter for 26 yeas in addition to being a New York State fire instructor. No task is too small for Chris, and he's definitely not above saving someone's pet from a fire.
Racine puts his life on the line day in and day out for his community. This month we salute you, Chris- thank you for everything you do!
