How in the world does a woman get arrested by the same police agency twice in the same day? Not only was the woman arrested twice in one day, but she was also charged with multiple felony offenses!

According to the New York State Police, Parvatie Sukhram, a 29-year old woman from Schenectady, was arrested twice in one day by the New York State Police. On October 15, 2020, Ms. Sukhram began her adventurous day around 8:42 a.m when she was stopped on I-87 in Colonie driving a vehicle that was reported stolen by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Not only was she driving a stolen vehicle, but she also had debit cards in her possession that belong to the owner of the vehicle. It has also been reported that she was wearing a jacket that was stolen from a different vehicle.

Apparently, Ms. Sukhram was released from that incident and continued her day by traveling to Clifton Park. Around 5:40 p.m., the New York State Police responded to a call for a woman trying to break into vehicles. When the police officers arrived in Clifton Park, they observed Ms. Sukhram trying to break into a car. She later admitted that she was trying to steal the car.

Ms. Sukhram was charged with fourth-degree Attempted Grand Larceny, third-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, fourth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and fifth-degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.

After being processed by the State Police for the second time in one day, Ms. Sukhram was released to EMS and later transported to Ellis Hospital. It seems that this young lady is not a very good car thief. I wonder why she was trying so hard to steal a car yesterday, but hopefully, she got the help that she needed.
