It has been a turbulent few years for Rich Homie Quan, whose debut album Rich As in Spirit continues to experience delays despite the success of singles such as "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)." Quan addresses those struggles and more in a new Instagram video that teases a return for the rapper.

In the clip, Quan visits his pastor, asking how he's supposed to overcome some of his obstacles. He is as well shown watching a television screen that recounts two of his recent controversies: when he was filmed smoking near his son and when he slapped somebody mid-concert. "I don’t know why my fans feel as if I fell off," he says. "I just feel as if, he got to go back to the basics. I know I haven’t fell off." The final title card teases a project or song titled "Back to the Basics."

Just yesterday, Quan had a little trouble with his Instagram when the account apparently got hacked and pictures and text messages were leaked. Quan addressed the situation on IG, saying "Yesterday was one of the best days of my life, and I refuse to let the devil allow me to focus on him, and not my blessings." See his post below.

XXL spoke with Rich Homie this past October about his recent challenges, the rapper saying he expects problems to arise with where he's at in his life and career. “I’m not perfect,” he said. “Respect me if I make mistakes.”

"You may have counted me out but my gift hasn't been delivered tell me sum I can't tell myself," he captioned the below video. Peep Quan's new teaser with new music on the way. He last linked up with YFN Lucci in December for "Ya Ya."
