Talk about bridging the gap. Rapper Q-Tip and civil rights icon Harry Belafonte appear together in Gap’s 2013 Holiday ad campaign. For the initiative, music celebs like Tony Bennett, Kenna, Cyndi Lauper and Billy Porter are enlisted to spread the social media message of #MakeLove.

The A Tribe Called Quest rapper follows behind fellow rhymer Nas who appeared in the 2012 Gap campaign with his father, jazz artist Olu Dara.

The popular clothing retailer is promoting their latest wares, which include holiday sweaters, flannel shirts, denim jeans and accessories (hats, scarves and gloves) to keep you warm this winter season.

As for the photo of Q-Tip and Harry Belafonte, we wonder what they're discussing. Maybe Belafonte is explaining to Tip about the tiff he had with Jay Z and Beyonce earlier this year. As far as we know, Mr. Day-O and Magna Carter have yet to engage in a sit-down interview to discuss their disagreements.

In any case, get into the holiday spirit with Gap’s new campaign.
