The 2012 Summer Olympics showcase 16 days of competition. Unfortunately, the Olympic experience only lasted 1 minute and 44 seconds for Clifton Park native, Kyle Vashkulat.

He lost his opening round judo match-up to a familiar opponent in Uzbekistan’s Ramziddin Sayidov. Kyle entered the Olympic games ranked 37 in the world while Sayidov is recognized as the 4th ranked athlete in the sport.

Kyle plans to hang in London for the duration of the games (could you blame him?). He plans on returning to the Jason Morris Judo Training Center in Glenville when he gets back.
