The south is taking over New York City this spring. On April 30, Metro Boomin, Sonny Digital and Zaytoven will perform DJ sets at a currently unannounced club as part of the Red Bull Music Academy Festival's "Trapped" event. Before they hit the stage, the producers will take part in a "beatmaker roundtable," where they will "reveal the studio secrets behind their defining hits for artists like Future, 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane and many, many more."

Other artists and hip-hop related personalties scheduled to descend upon New York City are Dizzee Rascal, Spike Lee and more. The Red Bull Music Academy Festival New York is scheduled for April 29-May 22. More events and venue locations will be announced so keep an eye out for more from Red Bull Music Academy and XXL as the festival dates near.

The three producers have helped shape the sound of hip-hop as of late and their contributions to Atlanta's local acts on both an underground and mainstream level has helped grow their brands. In an interview with the United Kingdom's BBC 1 Radio, Metro revealed that he is working with arguably the biggest rapper in the world. “I never ever really talk about things like this, but we in the UK so…I met Kendrick and we were in the studio, he picked a bunch of beats out,” he said. “That was great. He’s a great guy, we vibed out for the day.” Metro also went on to say that he’s “been working on a bunch of stuff for Big Sean’s new album.”
