Mase's career has forever been plagued by stops-and-starts. Last year looked like it was shaping up to be a comeback year for the Harlem rapper when he appeared on songs with Young Scooter and L.E.P. Bogus Boys, reunited with former Bad Boy boss Diddy at Drake's OVO Fest and announced a new album, 'Now We Even.'

Mason Betha also dropped the ladies jam 'Why Can't We' back in December before going AWOL once again. But yesterday (May 4), he made a surprise return by releasing a new single called 'Nothing,' with assistance from crooner Eric Bellinger.

In similar fashion to his other aforementioned track, this bouncy club record is an ode to all the independent women out there. "She don't do burger spots, she like to splurge a lot / And if the twerking stop, it's cause the merch ain't drop," Mase raps in his distinctively slick delivery.

If the rubbery synths and colorful chords sound similar, it's because 'Nothing' was produced by Nic Nac, the same beatmaker behind Chris Brown's 'Loyal.' Both tracks are undeniably infectious, but will Mase see the same success on the charts as Breezy?
