Entertainment news trended throughout the Capital Region over the weekend and many Upstate NY residents scratched their heads wondering if it was true.

John Hinckley, Jr, the man who attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s - and who notoriously stalked Jodie Foster - was released from prison this year and now wants to be seen and heard - in the entertainment industry.

John Hinckley, Jr. was found not guilty by reason of insanity after he attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan in 1982.  According to sources,  was released this year and is embarking on a musical career, and even teased an Albany show in the upcoming new year.

"Hinckley, 67, spent over 40 years under court custody after shooting dead President Ronald Reagan and three others outside a Washington DC hotel in 1981. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity." -LocalToday.News

 

There's no word on where he'll be performing, or when - but if you're interested in seeing a singer/songwriter/ wannabee assassinator,  then this might be one concert announcement worth waiting for!
