Pete Rock is not going to like this. Lil Yachty is getting rap fans riled up and it’s not because of his music. The young rapper and his friend, The Good Perry, appeared in Pitchfork’s popular Q&A video series “Over/Under,” and when asked if The Notorious B.I.G. is overrated or underrated, Lil Boat says "overrated."

Lil Boat didn’t elaborate on why Biggie is overrated, but he didn’t waver from his response. Meanwhile, The Good Perry said that he heard a few Biggie songs before stating that he “grew up very sheltered.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Yachty and Perry said that fake IDs and taxes are overrated and Tom Hanks is underrated. On a side note, Yachty didn’t know the difference between Mel Gibson and Liam Neeson.

This isn’t the first time Lil Yachty slandered Biggie’s name. In late August, the 19-year-old rapper couldn’t name five Biggie or 2Pac songs.

Of course, when the clip of Lil Boat calling Biggie overrated surfaced on Twitter, folks were quick to dragged the rapper on their timelines. While some were supportive of Yachty voicing his opinion, other found his comments disrespectful to Biggie's legacy.

"Aye [Lil Yachty] I f--- wit u dog but you tweaking Hard as hell," tweeted one fan. "Calling BIG overrated? @lilyachty you're a goon," wrote another person.

Lil Yachty seems to be taking the Twitter dragging in stride. "About to hang out with my friends and get off of social media because old ppl are mad at my opinion. Love U guys make sure u vote youth!!" he tweeted.
