Wedding-themed visuals seem to be all the rage in rap recently, with the video for Kid Ink and Fetty Wap's "Promise" lending a slight spin on nuptial tying motif. Unlike Yo Gotti's "Down in the DM" video in which a groom has cold feet on his wedding day, Ink acts in secret here, photographed throughout the city with a number of women leading his main squeeze to assume the worst, that he's cheating on her.

But alas, the Cali rapper isn't sneaking out to cheat in the Mike Ho-directed video, but rather plan a surprise ceremony for his missus. It's a romantic gesture that's capped off with a laugh, as a wedding singer performs a rendition of Kid Ink’s “Badass” that's both brutal and amazing.

The "Promise" video may be a case of art imitating life, with Ink presently engaged to Asiah Azante. The couple welcomed a baby girl into their lives just this February, with Ink posting an image of himself alongside his newborn daughter on Instagram.

Fetty likewise is expecting a new addition, as the rapper recently dropped $20,000 in anticipation for the child he and Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood's Masika Kalysha will be having. It seems less likely that Fetty and Masika will be tying the knot as the two argued about the particulars of the pregnancy during a bulk of its duration, but the rapper has since apologized and says he wants what's best for his child.

Check out the "Promise" video up top off Kid Ink's Summer in the Winter album which dropped just after Christmas.
