Congratulations are in order for Top Dawg Entertainment's Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q. According to the RIAA, K. Dot and Groovy Q have earned their first solo certified platinum singles for "Alright" and "Studio," respectively.

Kendrick and ScHoolboy are two of hip-hop's brightest stars, so it's sort of surprising that neither of them had platinum singles until now. K. Dot and ScHoolboy are certainly deserving of the feat, as their track records speak for themselves. "Alright" and "Studio" are both terrific records, which landed on the albums To Pimp a Butterfly and Oxymoron, respectively.

In recent Kendrick Lamar-related news, the Compton rapper spoke with TDE co-president Terrence “Punch” Henderson about the 2017 Grammy Awards. “I just spoke to kdot,” Punch wrote on Twitter. “He’s really up set about the Queen B not getting her album of the year trophy.” Kendrick also sent Chance The Rapper a congratulatory text after the Chicago MC's big night at the Grammys.

Meanwhile, ScHoolboy Q enjoyed his time at the Grammy Awards, as he brought his daughter and promoted gender equality on the red carpet. The "Man of the Year" rapper wore a pink hoodie with the words “Girl Power” across the front. Even more awesome was Q's daughter's outfit, as she rocked a matching pink suit.

Props to K. Dot and ScHoolboy on getting their first solo certified platinum singles.
