'Yeezus'? What 'Yeezus'? That seems to be J. Cole's response to releasing his second album, 'Born Sinner,' on June 18, the same day Kanye West will drop his highly anticipated sixth album.

In an interview with Billboard, Hollywood Cole decided to move the release date up from June 25 to June 18 so he could compete with the G.O.O.D. Music leader.

"I'm not going to sit [here]... I worked too hard to come a week later after Kanye West drops an amazing album," he said. "It'd be like, 'Oh and J. Cole dropped too, a week later.' Nah. I'm going to go see him on that date. He's the greatest. So it's like, I'm a competitor by nature so it was instant, it wasn't even a thought."

"It's a definite statement about how I feel about my album, which is confident," he adds.

If the collection sounds anything like his phenomenal debut album, 'Cole World: The Sideline Story,' then the Roc Nation emcee may not have to tuck his whole summer in.

However, June 18 is shaping up to be a big music release date for fans. Not only are Cole and Yeezy dropping albums, but Kelly Rowland's 'Talk a Good Game' and Mac Miller's 'Watching Movies With the Sound Off' are also scheduled for release that day as well.

It will be interesting to see who comes out the victor on the Billboard 200 chart.

Meanwhile, Cole is getting a head start with promoting his new album. He performed 'Power Trip' on NBC's 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show' Tuesday (May 21).
