Massachusetts is warming up, and more people will be outside their homes grilling up some good eats for their loved ones. I'm not sure when you classify the official start of grilling season. Some people probably say grilling season starts in the month of May, specifically, Memorial Day weekend. For me, grilling season is when it's warm enough to do it outside.
While steak, hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken are all fine and delicious items to BBQ and consume, keep in mind that there are a few animals that are illegal to hunt, cook, and consume in Massachusetts. Whether you live in Boston, Worcester, Springfield, or anywhere in the state, these animals are off limits for BBQs. It's not just the Bay State, either; this goes for the entire country.
After examining various websites, we have put together a list of animal meats that are illegal to cook and consume in Massachusetts and throughout the country. None of these meats appear appetizing to me, but some of them are considered a delicacy in other countries, just don't consume them here.
