Lake Champlain
Vermont is known for its beautiful mountain ranges, but it also has some pretty stunning water features. One of the best examples is Lake Champlain, a huge lake that stretches 107 miles along the border between New York and Vermont.
On the New York side, Plattsburgh offers its own charm with easy lake access, local restaurants, and scenic spots to relax. Whether you're into city vibes or outdoor adventures, there are plenty of parks, trails, and islands around the lake to check out.
Lake Erie
Lake Erie might be the shallowest of the Great Lakes, but it’s full of opportunities for outdoor fun and travel. Buffalo, sitting right on the lake’s edge, is a great place to start, offering a mix of history, waterfront views, and a growing food and arts scene. Whether you're into fishing, spotting wildlife, or even exploring old shipwrecks, there's plenty to do on and around the water.
