Former New York Knicks Great John Starks to Appear in Latham
NY Knicks legend to appear in Latham
John Starks, an all-time New York Knicks fan-favorite, played on some great New York Knicks teams in the 1990s and he'll be will be making an appearance in the Capital Region on Thursday to promote his new energy drink.
Back in the early 1990s, Starks was a key member of those Knicks teams that had tremendous players such as Patrick Ewing, Charles Oakley, and Anthony Mason, to name a few.
Starks, who wore number 3, was known for his exceptional three-point shooting and physical play helping the Knicks stay competitive during the Michael Jordan and Reggie Miller eras of the NBA.
It's been 30 years since "The Dunk"
Starks' New York Knick highlight reel moment is simply known as "The Dunk" which came during Game 2 of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals against the Chicago Bulls when he dunked on Horace Grant.
John Stark appearing in Latham
To celebrate, Starks is promoting a new energy drink called Thin Energy Hydration, the first certified plant-based hydration drink and he'll be at Market Bistro in Latham on Thursday, July 6th, from 11-2 pm to meet fans, sign autographs, and promote healthy living.
