Hudson Valley lottery players might not be too happy to read this, but there were a bunch of winning tickets worth some serious money sold across New York for Saturday’s Powerball drawing. Unfortunately, none of the winning tickets were sold at stores in the Hudson Valley, but if you took a trip to Brooklyn or Staten Island, you might be holding a winning ticket.

Winning Powerball Tickets Sold in New York

Someone in the Empire State is officially sitting on a Powerball ticket worth $1 million, and several other players across the state are holding tickets worth $50,000 each.

Nobody won the nearly $300 million jackpot, but there were still some pretty big winners.

According to the New York Lottery, a $1 million winning ticket for the Saturday, September 19 drawing was sold in Brooklyn. The lucky ticket was purchased at Kings 86 Convenience at 1420 86th Street in Brooklyn.

And apparently, Brooklyn wasn't done handing out big money. More on that below.

Six New York players also hit for $50,000 apiece, meaning a total of $300,000 in third-prize money was won across the state.

According to SI Live, one of those lucky tickets was sold on Staten Island at Convenient Food Mart, located at 2 New Dorp Lane in New Dorp. Another $50,000 winning ticket was sold at Iris & Angus Liquor Store on West 231st Street in the Bronx.

Brooklyn had three more $50,000 winners. Those tickets were purchased at Allif News and Grocery at 1821 Avenue M, You Fresh Mart at 5822 7th Ave., and Brownsville Deli & Grocery at 784 Saratoga Ave.

The sixth $50,000 ticket was sold at Western OTB at 2310 Clinton St. in Cheektowaga in Erie County, NY.

So basically, if you happened to buy your ticket at one of those stores, Saturday night turned out to be a pretty good night.

For everyone else, well... there's always the next drawing.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:50 p.m. Five white balls are selected from numbers 1 through 69, while the red Powerball is selected separately from numbers 1 through 26.
