Four Arrested In Albany Burglary That Led To Gun Charges
Officers with the Albany Police Department responded to a call for shots fired on Sunday night and arrested four men in the process.
According to officers with the Albany Police Department, someone called 911 at approximately 11:55 p.m. on June 13, to report that shots were being fired at a home in the 400 block of Washington Avenue.
According to CBS6, when officers arrived at the location they discovered that four men were involved in a fight inside the home. Officers report that during the altercation one of the men was injured.
Detectives report that three men allegedly went to the house to fight 21-year old Shamir Finch due to an ongoing dispute. During the fight, Mr. Finch sustained a stab wound to his back. No one else was injured in the fight.
During the investigation, officers located the three men inside the house and took them into custody. Officers were also able to confiscate two loaded 9 mm handguns from inside the home.
Mr. Shamir Finch was transported to the Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated and then arrested. He was charged with two counts of second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon and two counts of third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Officers arrested 25-year old Corey Spencer of Schenectady and charged him with one count of second-degree burglary and one count of second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He was arraigned and taken to the Albany Criminal Court.
They also arrested 28-year old Ronald Spencer of Albany. He was charged with one count of second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon and one count of second-degree Burglary.
Ronald Reape, a 56-year old man from Schenectady was also arrested. He was charged with one count of second-degree burglary and one count of second-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon; he was arraigned in Albany Criminal Court.
