This happened in May with the Flower moon, in June with the Strawberry moon and in July with the Buck moon. The 4th and final supermoon of 2022, the Sturgeon moon, arrives this week.

What does New York have to do with the naming of the Sturgeon moon? According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, many moons ago, Sturgeon, those monster size fish, were plentiful in Lake Champlain and August was the best time of year to catch them.
