Capital Concert Series Welcomes Ginuwine To The Capital Region

It's back! The Summer at the Plaza is a series of free community events that are presented at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. Join Hot 991 At The Empire State Plaza on August 4th when Ginuwine comes to perform for FREE!

A Grammy-nominated Icon Award recipient and R&B legend Ginuwine is coming to the Empire State Plaza to perform, at The Capital Concert Series is back! The concerts will be held every Wednesday in August at the Empire State Plaza.

Hot 991's DJ Supreme will be the host for the first R&B Night at the Plaza, with Ginuwine performing for the Capital District for free. The concert starts at 5:30p on August 4th at the Empire State Plaza. Hot 991's DJ Supreme will be the host for the evening. Come out for a night of fun and good music for free. Ginuwine will be singing his hits from the past 30 years.

Did you know Ginuwine’s real name is Elgin? Yes, Ginuwine was named after 1960s NBA legend, Elgin Baylor.

Ginuwine started his career out as a Michael Jackson impressionist, Ginuwine would hit the streets and make money moonwalking as a teenager he was highly influenced by Michael Jackson.
