After a news conference by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver on the Donald Sterling controversy, punishments for the Clippers owner include a lifetime ban and a $2.5-million fine. Silver also said he would urge NBA owners and the board of governors to force Sterling to sell the team.

"I am banning Mr. Sterling for life from any association with the Clippers organization or the NBA," said Silver.

I think it is good that the $2.5 million is going towards organizations that fight discrimination. Do you think that this is a fair punishment for a man who is worth way more than $2.5 million? He will make all his money back once he sells the team. You can't teach an old dog new tricks so what can you really do to punish a billionaire. He will always feel the way he feels.
