Dallas police officers John Rogers and Andrew Hutchins have been cleared of any charges in the fatal shooting of mentally disabled victim Jason Harrison in front of his home last June.

This video shows the June 14, 2014 fatal shooting of mental patient Jason Harrison, 38, who was shot while holding a screwdriver after his mother called 911 for help bringing him to Parkland Hospital while he was in a crisis.

This is a sad case, I don't think these officers were capable of handling or talking to some one who was mentally disabled. I think this is the way they are trained to deal with everyone. They weren't aware of his mental state and probably have no idea what to do with someone with a mental disorder. The mother has more experience with dealing with her mentally disabled son, so what prompted her to call the police in the first place ? I'm not defending these police officers by any means, a screwdriver versus a 9mm handgun is not an even match up. The man should not have been shot for yielding a screw driver. The real victim in this case is the mom who basically, called the police to come in and shoot her son and she has to deal with that for the rest of her life. R.I.P to Jason Harrison this is a horrible way to die.
