Code Blue in Full Effect for Residents of Albany

The Homeless and Travelers Aid Society has called a Code Blue homeless alert for the City of Albany starting today through Tuesday, January 27.

If you know anyone in need of shelter from the cold weather, they may go to either the Capital City Rescue Mission, located at 259 S. Pearl Street, or the Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless Drop-In Center, located at 26 South Swan Street.

The Homeless Action Committee will assist with transportation and outreach.

If you see someone who may be in need of warm shelter from the cold temperatures, you may call the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society at (518) 463-2124 ext. 4 or the Albany Police Department at (518) 438-4000.
