Celebrity Hits Up Dive Bar in Upstate – Then Jams with Local Band!
High Pines, a local band from Upstate New York was performing their regular set of funk, jazz, and rock-infused hits when they were surprised by a celebrity who stopped into Maloney’s Pub in Hammondsport, NY over the weekend.
But this A-list celeb wasn't interested in just having a few drinks while kicking back to watch the show, he wanted to get involved- and he did.
So, which celebrity crashed the set and jammed with the band?
According to News 10 ABC, it was none other than St. Rose Grad, SNL alum, and Tonight Show Host, Jimmy Fallon - who popped into Maloney's Irish Pub at 62 Pulteney Street in Hammondsport on Friday night.
The pub, located southeast of Rochester is about 3.5 hours west of Albany.
Fallon, as he normally does when given the chance, made the most of the spotlight and the talented improv comedian jammed out for a few songs including a version of Rob Base's "It Takes Two".
You know, it’s not every day that Jimmy Fallon walks into your set and jams out a couple of songs with you. We had an absolute blast and the night will surely be one to remember. We’ll see ya around Jimmy, perhaps one of these nights on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Shoutout to Maloney's Pub for being wonderful as always, let’s see who shows up next time. -High Pines Band Facebook
Appearing as if he was in the midst of a weekend bender with the boys, Fallon took the stage wearing shorts and a tattered button-down; sunglasses completed the Tonight Show star's look! Check out the performance here:
