The one person that may benefit the most out of the Joe Schoen/Brian Daboll era with the New York Giants is quarterback Daniel Jones. The young quarterback has had a rough road as he enters his fourth season with his third head coach. That isn't a great ratio of stability, for one that plays a position that is supposed lead your $4.85 billion franchise. In order to make the most of this new opportunity, Jones reached out to the guy that did pretty well with Brian Daboll at his side in Buffalo.

This could be Daniel Jones' last shot as the starting quarterback position, at least with the Giants. It is awesome to see him taking every opportunity to create an advantage. According to friend of The Drive with Charlie & Dan, Tom Rock of newsday.com, Jones reached out to the Buffalo Bills star quarterback, Josh Allen to get some tips about what to expect from his new head coach, Brian Daboll.

Allen told Newsday about Daboll, "he’s going to put you in good situations and give you plays that you absolutely love and know like the back of your hand. I think that’s part of the fight. He’s not going to call plays to fulfill himself, he’s going to call plays that will help you as a quarterback to make the right decision and make the best play possible."

Watching Daniel Jones battle with himself after failed offensive execution became exhausting. Confidence in the play-calling will certainly be a step in the right direction. I don't think anyone that watches NFL football had confidence in what was being called from the Giants offensive sideline last season. The Bills star quarterback told Tom Rock some of the ways Daboll, who was Josh Allen's offensive coordinator, helped him get to the top of his game.

"Giving me examples from the quarterbacks that he’s been around, Tom [Brady], Brett Favre, even Chad Henne and Jake Delhomme, and giving me the tools to talk to these guys and have conversations about being an NFL quarterback," Allen said of the benefit of working with Daboll. "He gave me so many tools and taught me so much over the last four years, I’m just so thankful for him and I’m so happy for him too."

The opportunity is here. Allen said that he tentatively plans to get together with Jones over the Super Bowl weekend. I would imagine Mr. Jones will be all ears at that meeting. It is a cool article and if you want to read the rest of Tom Rock's conversation with Josh Allen, go to newsday.com/sports.
