Birdman is continuing to take his label in a new direction. The Cash Money leader recently sat down with XXL to discuss where the historic label is headed amidst the lawsuit against Lil Wayne and address rumors that Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan will not be on the upcoming Rich Gang project.

Upon the announcement of a new Rich Gang album, rap fans pondered if it could match up to the success of the first two projects. The first album highlighted a then-unified YMCMB, churning out hits like "Tapout," while the follow-up mixtape proved Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan as serious contenders in the rap world.

Baby unveiled that he's actually been working with a gang of new signees, of about 15 guys. The clique includes singer Jacquees, Atlanta rapper Ralo and more, with production by London On Da Track. As far as Quan and Thugga, Baby says they're still a part of Rich Gang too. "Yea, they definitely will be," says Birdman about the "Lifestyle" collaborators' participation on the Rich Gang the Lifestyle 2 album. "Thug is my little bro and I fuck with Quan too. I'm going to always make sure they're a part of this."

He added that Thug and Quan are actually the inspiration behind his new crop of talent and working on Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 1 inspired him to start cultivating new talent.

"Working with Thug and Quan really gave me a whole [new] motivation about working on new music because I was more on my CEO shit," he further explained. "I Just felt I wanted to come with a whole new vibe, a bunch of new faces. Faces that haven't been used but are very talented. I'm excited about the talent. I do this shit hands down. I see all of them just branching off and being superstars."
