Bill Cosby Maintains His Innocence In Interview
Did ya’ll forget how they did Bill Cosby? He still claims his innocence in his first interview from prison with Black Press USA. Over 60 women accused Cosby of sexual assault and he was sentenced to 3-10 years in 2018.
There are a lot of black men who have been found guilty of a crime they did not commit and are serving prison time, Bill Cosby believes he is one of them stating in the interview: "I have eight years and eight months left," he said. "When I come up for parole, they're not going to hear me say that I have remorse. I was there. I don't care what group of people come along and talk about this when they weren't there."
"It's all a setup," he said. "That whole jury thing. They were imposters. ... Look at the woman who blew the whistle."
I remember watching this whole thing unfold through the media. They were trying to impale Cosby to the stake. So many accusations, so much lack of proof. The whole "Me Too" movement had everyone in a frenzy and walking on eggshells in Hollywood. They made Cosby an example, unfortunately. Cosby released a statement from behind bars early this year in which he said he was a political prisoner, likening his time in jail to that of Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela. He maintained his innocence then, too, and said that he will never feel remorse.
If you are truly innocent though, Bill, why did you settle with seven of the women who filed a defamation lawsuit against you?! Never settle. Fight it out.
