Are You Ready For ChowderFest?

It’s that time again! The 22nd annual ChowderFest comes to Saratoga. This tasty event is not only family friendly, but it’s tons of fun too! ChowderFest will have over 80 vendors. Some of these vendors include the area’s favorite eateries and restaurants.

The fest will even feature some individual area caterers. With the cold weather upon us, what’s more comforting than a hot bowl of chowder! Chowder is a style of thick, hearty soup or stew usually made with a milk or cream base. Most chowders have a seafood or vegetable mixed in. Here are a couple of New York’s favorite chowders that you might be able to taste at the ChowderFest.

New England Clam Chowder – This classic, creamy soup typically features clams, potatoes, and onions

Baked Potato Soup – This favorite is often topped with cheddar cheese, bacon and scallions

Broccoli Cheddar – This beloved standard is full of creamy cheddar cheese, broccoli, and sometimes carrots and onions
