County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.

All throughout 2016, we will be recognizing one “hero” per month based on their inspirational feats, work helping their neighbors, and everyday passion.

This month we honor Harjup Singh, an EMT from Albany, NY. Harjup studies at SUNY Albany and hopes to continue his education in Paramedics after he graduates. Harjup doesn't just serve the community as an EMT -- he lives it. He says that being able to help people, especially when they are in pain, is one of the great joys of his life.

Harjup's nominator, Jessica, says he's by far the most dedicated EMT she's ever met. He always strives to treat his patients to the best of his ability. He is also an active volunteer.

Learn more about Harjup through an interview we did with him in the video below, and click here to see how you can nominate a hero next month when we’re honoring a local person in the National Guard.
