Albany County Jail Nurse Test Positive For Coronavirus
According to the Times Union newspaper. A nurse at the Albany County jail has just been confirmed positive for COVID-19 the Coronavirus. The nurse tested positive yesterday afternoon.
The jail already has a no visitor policy in place to quarantine the inmates from the Coronavirus. This obviously didn't work because the inmates were still exposed via a health care worker. As a result of the positive test 35 inmates who had contact with the nurse have been placed in isolation.
Sheriff Craig Apple announced Monday "We're trying to trace back now," he said. "Obviously a nurse at a county jail is not a good situation."
With answers currently being unknown as to who and what you can get the Coronavirus, the best policy is to stay at home and practice social distancing while out. Share this information about the prisoners with anyone who may be concerned.
