While 50 Cent was recuperating in the hospital from a stomach virus, he received an interesting offer from one of today’s hottest rappers. Wiz Khalifa sent out a tweet requesting the New York rapper’s assistance on a new track. “I Gotta Song I Wanna Put @50Cent On,” he wrote.

Fiddy, a heavy Twitter user himself, saw the tweet and was eager to work with the Pittsburgh emcee. “While I was sitting in the hospital, I saw Wiz Khalifa send a tweet out saying he got something, and he felt like it would be cool if I was actually on a record with him,” 50 tells MTV News. “So I responded to him and I told him, ‘Let’s work.’”

“Stay tuned to hear what happens next because it’s gonna go down,” he added, confirming that the collabo request was legit.

Hopefully, the rap duet will make its way onto Wizzy’s new LP ‘O.N.I.F.C.,’ which hits stores on Aug. 28. So far, the collection includes guest appearances from Curren$y, Pharrell Williams, Cam’ron and the Weeknd. The set’s first single is the synth-heavy anthem ‘Work Hard, Play Hard,’ which was produced by Stargate and Benny Blanco.
