TRAFFIC NIGHTMARE!! Weekend Work On Twin Bridges Back For 2013

The weekend traffic nightmare continues… Renovations will continue on the Twin Bridges beginning April 5^th.  DOT crews took care of the northbound side last year, the southbound side is next.

The bridge will be closed beginning at 10pm on Fridays and will be re-opened before Monday morning rush hour.  On weekends, travelers will be able to use 2 southbound lanes and one northbound lane.

So what does this mean for you if you didn’t experience the headache last year?  Find an alternate route between exits 6 and 8 on weekends.  No joke.  I got stuck in the mess multiple times.  Forgetting about the roadwork will ruin your day.  Weekends aren’t long enough as is, don’t lose your valuable time stuck in the slowdowns!
