J. Cole’s ‘4 Your Eyez Only’ Features Two Songs Dedicated to His Daughter
J. Cole has alway kept his private life very private. Back in January, the world found out that he was married thanks to director filmmaker Ryan Coogler after he blurted it out unintentionally at a panel discussion. On Thursday (Dec. 8), we have new information that Cole could also be a dad.
Rap-Up discovered an iTunes review of Cole’s new album, 4 Your Eyez Only, where it claims that the Roc Nation rapper reflects on “the responsibility of fatherhood” on two new tracks called “She’s Mine, Pt. 1” and “She’s Mine, Pt. 2.”
It continues, "The two-part suite ‘She’s Mine’ may be the most important songs he’s written, as Cole hovers over his daughter and finds himself overcome by a strange feeling: hope.”
We have to stress that there hasn't been an official confirmation that J. Cole is indeed a dad. But if he is, congratulations to him, and his wife/mother, Melissa Heholt. Fans will have to wait until midnight to hear "She's Mine" to get the full story. We can hardly wait.
J. Cole's 4 Your Eyez Only is going to be one of the most hotly anticipated listens of 2016. Get ready, it's almost here.
