P. Gutter is one of my favorite artists from the Capital Region always consistent and always a solid guy in general. I got to sit down with P Gutter at ask him 9 questions so you can actually get to know him and his music better.

Who are your favorite artists? Nas, Jay-Z, Fabolous, J.Cole and Wale

What Is Your Goal For Your Music? I want my music to connect with ppl who are going through the same things that I went through and give them some hope

What Are Some Social Issues That You Think Are Important? Gun violence, Police Brutality, Racism, and Prison Reform

Where Were You Raised And How Has it Influenced Your Music? I was raised in Upstate New York which has inner cities and suburbs. I was exposed to both walks of life which gives my music balance.

Where Do You See Yourself In The Next 5 Years? I have been working on building up other businesses for myself while working on my music career. In the next 5 years, I expect to have enough income streams to be able to make music purely for my enjoyment without having to worry about money or album sales.

What Makes You Different From Other Artist In Your Genre? I believe that most artists in my genre are more worried about clout than content. I take my art form very seriously and I don’t make music that I think will make me popular. I make music that has a deep meaning to me and I believe that level of authenticity separates me from most artists in any genre

What's your favorite food and why? Man, I gotta say seafood is my favorite. I could literally eat shrimp, lobster, and scallops every day and never get tired of it.

What do you look for in a significant other? Most of all my significant other has to have the same drive that I have. I get after it all day long every single day of the week. Whoever I'm in a relationship with has to be able to move at the same speed as me in order to truly be my partner.

What Is The Most Important Thing About Music? Music, when done correctly, is one of the most powerful forces on earth. Music has the power to build bridges and bring ppl closer. It truly is a universal language

What advice would you give to other artists who are just starting out?
Music is supposed to make you feel something when you hear it. Whether its sad, angry, happy or inspired it doesn’t matter as long as it forces some type of emotion. If your music doesn’t make the listener feel anything when they hear it, its not music...its just noise.
