6ix9ine’s ‘Dummy Boy’ Songs Top iTunes Chart as He Sits Behind Bars
After the LP release got postponed and then later leaked online, the Brooklyn rapper's management confirmed that the album was officially available everywhere music is sold in an Instagram post uploaded yesterday (Nov. 29). Upon its release, at least five songs from the album hit the Top 10 of iTunes' Top Songs chart shortly after it hit the streaming service.
"DUMMY BOY IS OUT NOW ON ALL STREAMING PLATFORMS ⚠️⚠️⚠️‼️‼️‼️
ENJOY AND SHARE WIT ALL YA DIRTY ASS FRIENDS ⚠️⚠️THIS SHIT ALL HITS I PROMISE -management," 6ix9ine's caption said.
"Mama" featuring Nicki Minaj and Kanye West (No. 1), "Kika" featuring Tory Lanez (No. 2), "Tic Toc" featuring Lil Baby (No. 3) and "Waka" featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (No. 4) all ruled the top five while "Feefa" with 'Ye closed out the top 10 (No. 10). At the time of this report, "Mama" is the only track from the album in the top five, but it holds the No. 1 spot.
Although his music career seems to be standing strong, his legal woes are getting worse by the day. After pleading not guilty to racketeering and firearms charges, wiretap conversations reveal that Kifano Jordan aka "Shotti" (Tekashi's former manager), Jamel "Murda Mel" Jones and others from the Brooklyn-based Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods were allegedly plotting to "super violate" the "Fefe" rapper.
"[Tekashi] is trying to dry snitch at the same time, homie," Jones says. "But he keep saying, fuck Treyway, fuck that nigga, Treyway. Ain't no nigga, Treway. Fuck Treway."
6ix9ine's trial begins in September 2019.
