Woodstock 50 Year Anniversary Lineup

Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper, and Miley Cyrus headline the festival.

You've probably heard stories and damn near folk tales about arguably the greatest festival to take place in New York in 1969 known as Woodstock.

First things first, the festival will NOT be right down the road from us here in the Capital Region as the three-day show's name would insinuate, but will be at Watkins Glen, NY, a bit further west of Ithaca.

Even though the location may be different than it was 50 years ago, the organizers decided to put together a lineup that featured some of the original acts that performed at the original Woodstock in 1969 (that are still actually performing) along with some of the best artists of today.

Notable performers slated to be at the 50 year anniversary celebration are Santana, Jay-Z, Run The Jewels, Common, Janelle Monae, Vince Staples, Earl Sweatshirt, India.Aire and Miley Cyrus.

There are more performers to be announced as we get closer to Woodstock 50 weekend.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 22, 2019.
