There is nothing better than some Suburban Council high school baseball playoffs.  It was an awesome regular season that had so much parody and great games.  Colonie and Guilderland are the favorites on paper but their are a list of teams that would win it all which includes: Shaker, Shen, Averill Park, Columbia etc.  Colonie has two ace pitchers in Tyler Sausville and Sam Falace who can easily propel the Raiders to a sectional title.  The games are already getting underway this week.  Here is my quick take on this from the Times Union:

If Friday’s Suburban Council baseball quarterfinals is anything like Round one on Wednesday, we are all in for a treat. Columbia and Saratoga both pulled out close wins, in fact, Saratoga won on a walk-off, to earn a spot in the quarterfinals. Colonie has deservingly earned the No.1 seed, but they only beat Columbia 1-0 earlier in the season. Guilderland is the No.2 seed, but Saratoga is more than capable of pulling off an upset. We thought the Suburban Council would be highly competitive this season, especially with starting pitching at a premium and we were not wrong. The next two weeks should provide plenty of drama, before a Section Two champion is crowned.
