Restaurant owner Chris Pratt and business partners purchased the former Jillians building in downtown Albany for $855,000. The new owner owns several restaurants in the Capital District.

While there are no known plans for the building, here is what the new owner told the Albany Biz Journal.

The building will be mixed-use, Pratt said. The partners are considering creating three 1,000-square-foot retail spaces on the ground floor of the three-story, 34,000-square-foot building. A restaurant or pub is in development, he said. The building also includes an apartment.

That sounds very general, so what would you do with the building? I have never been inside of Jillians before, but I heard it was huge. Could Jillians open back up as a night club? What would you do with the building if you had the $855,000 to purchase it?
