Two Popular Latham Salons & Spas Will Merge Under Same Management
These two popular businesses are only 2.8 miles apart and are actually on the same road in Latham and into Loudonville. Both are very reputable and now they will be merging under the same management to offer more services.
It was announced that Rumors Salon and Spa and Kimberley's: A Day Spa have been joined under Tuscan Sun Spa and Salon according to Albany Business Review.
Who is Tuscan Sun Spa & Salon?
Tuscan Sun Spa & Salon is based in West Virginia and actually had acquired Kimberley's: A Day Spa last year. President of Tuscan Sun, Cheri Satterfield has been in business since 2004 with locations in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York. She is opening another location in Pittsburgh.
Why Bring Rumors and Kimberley's Together?
According to Marri Aviza who owns Rumors, because they are experts in hair, they also wanted to expand with a group that could offer medical spa services like injectables and hydro facials. They will also be using the Tuscan Sun doctor and medical director that will supervise all treatments like medical cosmetics, laser treatments, and body contouring inside Kimberley's: A Day Spa. Rumors, in time, will offer express medspa treatments along with eyelashes, eyebrow, and nail services. Marri said about the merger:
Every decision that we've ever made at Rumors Salon and Spa, has to be right for the team members, right for the guests, right for the community, and right for the business. And when we can say yes to all of that, then we know that we have the right answer.
Will Their Names Change?
Yes. Rumors Salon will now be called Rumors by Tuscan Sun and Kimberley's: A Day Spa will be renamed Tuscan Sun at Kimberley's.
Both Rumors and Kimberley's have over a hundred employees and all of the current staff is doing medspa training and has been for about a year. They are currently hiring.
