The-Dream Sought by NYPD for Assaulting Pregnant Girlfriend

It looks like The-Dream is going through his own personal nightmare, as he's being investigated by the NYPD for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend in 2013, while she was still pregnant.

According to TMZ, the altercation took place inside New York City's Plaza Hotel while Lydia Nam, the mother of The-Dream's child, was six months pregnant.

Based on Nam's account, the 'IV Play' creator strangled, kicked and punched her. Although the alleged incident happened in April 2013, Nam didn't report it to authorities until November 2013, and at this point, it's unknown if she ever sought medical treatment.

Sadly, for the singer-songwriter, this isn't his first run-in with the law concerning domestic issues. In fact, he and Nam got into an altercation in June 2013 in California, and although the police were called, Nam refused to press charges.

Whether The-Dream will face criminal charges in New York for this alleged incident is currently unknown.
