On Friday afternoon Sheriff Craig Apple, Sr. and Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy held a joint briefing on the gun violence that has been wreaking havoc on the Capital Region.
According to the South Glens Falls Police Department, an unidentified man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint inside the motel. Officers identified 24-year old Isaiah Macuilt, of South Glens Falls, as the suspect.
Officers searched the vehicle and they found a loaded .20 Smith and Wesson handgun. None of the occupants of the vehicle had a permit to carry a gun and they all had felony convictions.
