Special Olympics NY – 2017 and 2018 Summer Games to be Hosted in the Capital Region!
The Special Olympics of New York will be coming to the Capital Region for their 2017-2018 Summer Games!

The Special Olympics of New York, the largest nonprofit sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities, will be making its way up to the Capital Region this year for its 2017 and 2018 Summer Games and they are always looking for volunteers and sponsors who would love to help out. Colleges and universities from all over the area will be hosting the Special Olympics games during the three-day event (June 16-18), in which more than 1,500 athletes and coaches will take part in a variety games in track and field, aquatics, basketball, bowling, powerlifting, gymnastics, tennis and volleyball.
Siena College will be the main host of the Special Olympics and the location for the Opening Ceremony. Hudson Valley Community College, the University at Albany, The Sage Colleges, World Class Gymnastics, Latham, and Spare Time Bowling Alley are also school that will host some of the events.
