Who is the Schenectady High School graduate appearing on 'Jeopardy!' tonight?

A 2003 Schenectady High School graduate will battle the current 8-time champion tonight on 'Jeopardy!' at 7:30 on News 10 ABC.

Matt Amodio from New Haven, Connecticut has been in the zone recently on Jeopardy!, but many of us in the Capital Region are hoping (respectfully) that his run comes to an end.

Amodio has amassed nearly $300,000 dollars on his current streak, and this evening he'll put his intelligence and quick thinking to the test when he battles 2003 Schenectady High School graduate Anna Hendrick according to a Facebook post by the Schenectady City School District.

Hendrick, who now calls Queens, New York her home, is a private investigator according to the 'Jeopardy!' website.

Kent Easter, from San Diego, rounds out the three contestants on tonight's show.

Since longtime host Alex Trebek's passing, celebrities like Katie Couric, Dr. Oz, and Aaron Rodgers have stepped in as the guest host, and this week that honor goes to David Faber.

Faber, according to the game show site is "an award-winning journalist and former Celebrity Jeopardy! champion who serves as the co-anchor of CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.”

The last time a local contestant appeared on the show was over a year and a half ago when Cheyenne Simmons of Albany, NY was on it back in back in January of 2020.

Simmons, a local baker at Great Exbaketation finished 3rd that evening with a total of $3,700 after an incorrect guess in the Final Jeopardy round.
