Rob Kardashian has been diagnosed with diabetes following an emergency visit to a Los Angeles-area hospital.

According to TMZ, the Kardashian's most elusive member fell ill at home this past weekend. Rob's condition steadily worsened to the point where the rest of the family urged him to go to the hospital. Doctors then performed a series of tests on him before diagnosing him with diabetes. The site goes on to say that it came as a shock to Rob -- he had no idea he was diabetic.

Rob — who was last seen in public this past June — is currently still in the hospital, though his condition remains stable.

He's been noticeably absent from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, as well as any and all photo ops for the family over the past few years. He didn’t even appear in the Kardashian-Jenner family photo from this past Thanksgiving, though family matriarch Kris Jenner confirmed that Rob was there.

She said (via SiriusXM), “He lives with Khloe. So he was around, and then went over to a buddy’s house. He’s doing all right. You know, he’s doing his best. He’s not into being on camera as much as the rest of us. But he’s working on himself. He’s going to be okay.”

Sources say Rob’s diabetes diagnosis is something of a wakeup call for the former reality television star, and that he wants to start off 2016 on a healthier foot.
