Remembering Charlie Murphy Comedian Dead At 57
Charlie Murphy, stand-up comedian, actor, and older brother of Eddie Murphy, passed away after a battle with Leukemia. Charlie Murphy was just in the Capital District less than a year before his death.
Check out the last time Charlie checked in with us. Charlie Murphy called into The Supreme Experience to talk about the Comedy Get Down performance at the Times Union Center on April 9, 2016.
Charlie passed away early 4/12/17
Charlie also co-wrote some of Eddie Murphy's movies, like "Norbit" and "Vampire in Brooklyn." He co-starred in "Are We There Yet?," "The Boondocks" and "Black Jesus."
He recently toured with Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, George Lopez and D.L. Hughley on "The Comedy Get Down."
Here is one of my favorite Charlie Murphy moments he will definitely be missed.
