Rae Sremmurd are the new pop stars as their party single “Black Beatles” leaps from No. 9 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. The duo usurped The Chainsmokers 12-week reign at the top spot with their song “Closer” featuring Halsey.

Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi can give a big thanks to the viral #MannequinChallenge that’s sweeping social media. The song has been used in various videos where people - from all walks of life - stand in mannequin poses for a brief time. Most of the clips used Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” as their theme song. Even the former Beatle himself, Paul McCartney, joined in on the phenomenon with a post on his Twitter account and the tweet, "Love those Black Beatles #MannequinChallenge.”

According to Billboard, "Black Beatles" is Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane’s first No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. It's also the first for the song's producer and co-writer Mike WiLL Made-It as well. In the past week, 144,000 downloads of the song were sold and it has garnered 43.3 million streams in the U.S. The track also blasted from No. 5 to No. 1 on the Billboard's audio subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart with 22.4 million on-demand streams.

On Monday (Nov. 14), Swae Lee jumped on his Twitter account to thanked fans for their support. "Thanks to the real sremmlife fans that been supporting from day won this is a win for us all," he tweeted.

Party on, Rae Sremmurd!
