Clipse may or may not have new material coming this year, but an extremely solid consolation comes in the form of an OutKast reunion. Not only is the legendary duo headlining Coachella and the Governors Ball, but also at 40 festival shows to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, 'Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.’ A new OutKast album would definitely be dope, and according to Queen Latifah, that's on its way.

Why would Queen Latifah of all people know? A little known fact is that she did represent OutKast early in their career as part of Flavor Unit management. An oblivious Howard Stern asked Latifah, who's also a talk show host, about what happened to OutKast during an interview on his radio show. “They’re chilling. They’re doing a movie. They’re about to work on a new album,” she told him.

There was news that Andre 3000 was about to prepare his solo album for a 2014 release when Stephen Hill, the president of programming at BET, said the rapper mentioned it was coming during a backstage conversation. Andre 3000's representative denied the reports soon after.

There's hope for an OutKast release, however. Beyonce also toured extensively last year, and she ended up surprising fans with a self-titled album in December that came out with no marketing push or prior announcements of its release.
